PHILOSOPHY
The Three Connections of Soil, People, and Tea
Since its founding, Yamaei has been dedicated to tea-making through the three essential connections of soil, people, and tea.
The Connection of Soil
The quality of tea is deeply influenced by the condition of the soil in which it is grown.
For this reason, we begin with nurturing the soil itself. Our independently developed SADAJI farming method makes use of the power of soil microorganisms to draw out the soil’s natural vitality. By creating a soil environment that follows the balance of the natural ecosystem, we establish a reliable foundation for growing high-quality tea leaves.
The Connection of People
Behind Yamaei’s tea are partner farmers with whom we have built long-standing relationships of trust.
From soil preparation to cultivation methods, we work together and grow tea leaves with care and dedication. By creating strong connections between producers, Yamaei, and consumers, we help sustain a responsible and lasting tea industry. We aim for a society where people are meaningfully connected with one another and with nature.
The Connection of Tea
Tea has long been valued for its ability to refresh both mind and body.
The act of brewing tea brings a sense of calm, while its components—such as catechins—are believed to offer various health benefits. While respecting traditional tea culture, Yamaei also explores new possibilities, including edible tea and other innovative uses. Through tea, we continue to propose new encounters and values.
Cherishing these three connections, Yamaei remains committed to sincere tea-making—for the future of nature, people, and tea.
